Udar Pristono Named as Suspect in Budget Mark-Up Case

In bus purchase, the Transportation Department refers to the specification of the Technology Research and Application Division (BPPT). "Insha Allah (God willing), there is no budget mark-up," he exclaimed.

As budget user, Pristono must know all the budget used in his department before. Even for a late bus payment, his side had coordinated with the BPK. Of the 656 buses, only 125 units already paid off. While the rest are not paid yet, because it exceeds the specified deadline.

He asserted, the BPK should also be questioned over the bus procurement due to they had audited it. He details the overall bus procurement reaches 656 units. From that amount, 4 packages were realized last year with 125 units, while 531 units are still stalled where 14 out of them are rusty.

"So, don't assume all buses are rusty," he exclaimed.
